Wellness & Ritual
The art of
doing nothing,
done well.
The bath houses of the Swahili coast are older than most of what stands on it. Ours is the private version of that idea: heat, water, a stone bench, and an hour where nobody can reach you.

The menu
Four treatments.
No upselling.
The list is short on purpose. Every treatment uses oils pressed within a day’s drive — marula, baobab, moringa — and the therapist will tell you honestly if you would be better off in the steam room for an hour instead.
Book at the desk or when you reserve your room. Same-day is usually possible; the morning after a mountain descent is not.
Haile Hammam
Black soap, steam, and the kessa mitt. Traditional, thorough, and not especially gentle.
Kilimanjaro Stone Massage
Volcanic basalt off the mountain’s own slopes, heated and worked into whatever the climb did to you.
Botanical Ritual
Indigenous plant oils — marula, baobab, moringa. The quietest thing on the list.
Soap, to take home
The same bar that is in your bathroom, made two streets from here, wrapped for travelling.
